In conjunction with The Southwest Public Health Department (SWUPHD), Dixie State College of Utah will hold a mass vaccination clinic. According to the SWUPHD, the priority groups eligible to get the H1N1 vaccine have been expanded to include the following:
    • Everyone ages 6 months to 24 years of age
    • Pregnant women
    • Parents/Caregivers of infants under 6 months of age

Through an agreement between DSC, SWUPHD and the National Health Department, approximately 2,000 doses will be made available through this shootout on a first come-first serve basis to DSC students, faculty and staff members and immediate family who meet the criteria. In addition, community members who also meet the criteria are also eligible to receive the vaccination.

There will be no charge for the vaccine, but individuals wishing to receive the vaccine are asked to bring proof of age and an insurance card. Students and faculty from Dixie State's nursing department, along with nurses from the SWUPHD, will be on hand to administer the vaccine.
